Looking at the paper, he felt a huge mixture of feelings; a melting pot of everything combined. It replayed in his mind, You are officially divorced. Walking into the dry lands of Afghanistan, guns and grenades ready, all he could think about was the memories he once had with her. Not shedding a tear, he persuaded himself that it was something she wanted. She lied. She wanted him for eternity, but having the horrific fear of him knowing she cheated, would kill her.

  1. I love this piece! It tells us so much in such a short amount of time...I love that he's off in war and she makes a decision based on the fact that she cheated on him at home.
    Great conflict...nicely communicated!
