Him:
Max observed her head to toe. She was standing by the pole. Her long black silky hair and lean yet curvy slender showed off her features really well. It was 9:45 AM in, Tokyo, Japan. The only thing that took his anxiety away from being late to a CEO meeting was by looking around. He shook his head as he muttered angry and scolding words to himself. He should have never went to that party. However, he did have some fun last night. He was tired of it, the bachelor life. He promised himself that he would top as soon as he came to Japan. He smirked as he thought. He kept looking at his watch. 9:50 AM. The people that were around him gave him strange looks. He scoffed and ignored them. Just two more stops, and he would be there. That woman, ge couldn’t take his eyes off of her. He was tempted to ask for her name, just to hear her voice. However, she was listening to music. It’s my stop. He exhaled a huge breath. He bumped into her.
“Sorry” she apologized politely and moved out his way.
He smiled and looked at her. He saw her eyes, a light gray. Her voice - it was with such nice clarity. She knew English too, that was a plus for her. As he boarded off the train, he looked back at the closing doors. She was staring at him. He smiled and winked at her. The train doors closed. He was off to the restaurant for brunch.
Her:
She felt someone staring at her. Listening to her zune, Kaito pretended to scrounge her mp3 player for a song. It was only 9:45 AM. She went out to buy groceries. She looked at her stomach every five seconds. Exhausted, she knew she couldn’t stress. It would harm her condition. The train went faster and faster. The man was still staring at her. Although, he kept on looking at his watch.
The train came to a stop. The stranger walked out, hastening to get out of the door. He bumped into her.
“Sorry” she said. He smiled at her. He walked out of the train. She stared in disgust. He winked at her as the train doors closed. She turned away quickly, not blushing.
Three stops later, she arrived. She walked out. It was a nice peaceful Friday morning. She couldn’t rush walking, so she paced herself. Wearing her light red dress and flats, she enjoyed the Autumn weather.
Her keys jangled and the door went ‘click’. She began sorting herself. After that, she went straight to the kitchen. She shook her head as she saw on the post it on her refrigerator door. Buy groceries on Thursday. It was Friday. She had to stay on task. She began cooking some pasta. She had so many cravings, but chose one that stood out. Wufuu Pasta, italian pasta cooked Japanese style. She began smiling. She recalled the one memory she had. Her mother would wake her every Saturday morning and they would cook pasta together. She stopped talking to her family for the past 5 months. She was excluded ever since the incident.
She drew a quick breath. No negative thinking today. It's bad for the baby.
Him:
The meeting ended rather quickly. He had expected it to be longer. He encountered one of his close friends that also worked in the company.
John smiled happily. “So glad that meeting ended quickly. Got a friggen hangover. How’s the divorce papers going?”
“Don’t even talk about it. I think I found my next wife.”
Her voice. It was just so beautiful. If only he asked. The meeting went quite quickly. They reviewed some stuff and the next meeting was next week. He suddenly had nothing to do. She captivated him. He wanted her.
He began walking around the small neighborhoods in Japan. He went inside a store and picked up some candy. He gave it to a child who was poor. He wished the child the best. As he walked around, he saw her. She was outside, getting the mail. It was her.
Her:
She put the fire into a low simmer. Cleaning her one bedroom apartment, she began listening to her messages on the house phone. Her best friend came back from the States. They were meeting up today. Her best friend, Aimi was the only family she had. They were meeting up at restaurant.
Knock, knock.
“Excuse me, this is for you.” Said the mailman.
She received a package. It was baby clothes. Her little brother kept contact with her. She went to the door and got it. Signing the paper, she looked at the gift. She smiled as she saw toys and books.
Write a thank you card to Junko.
She had to check the mail. She remembered about her grades. They were coming in the mail. She slowly closed the door, but not fully. Only to keep it open. It was a quick run to the mail. Besides, she knew everyone.
As she got to her mailbox, she opened it. A pile of mail bombarded her. She looked at it. They were letters filled with hate.
You’re a disgrace to the family! Not even married and pregnant. You are no longer part of Makino Family.
As she turned around, the man from the train was there.
Him:
He came closer to her. She began to slowly walk quickly. He looked around and saw where she was headed. He chuckled, thinking, she can't outrun me. He beat her to the door.
Her:
She had to get away from him. She saw a hand come over her. Something was ripping. Her pants? She screamed anxiously, trying to push him of off her. There was something burning. Fire?
Drip, drip
Three hours later, she woke up in the hospital.
